The 1851 census for Lancashire has been indexed by the Manchester and
Lancashire FHS and is published in about 50-60 volumes. You can get further
information from the Society at:

I am a latecomer to this list. From some of the postings, it sounds like
there is an 1851 census index in Lancashire. If this assumption is
correct, how can irt be accessed[who/where/etc.]
