Hi,
In 1875 my great-grandfather joined the army at Pembroke Dock, Liverpool.
It could well be my less-than-perfect eyesight, but I can't see it on any
of the maps of Liverpool (old and new) in my possession : - (
Also, why do you think he signed up there? Did recruiting sergeants hang
out at the docks looking for likely recruits, do you think? Seems very
possible, but I wondered if there was any evidence anywhere?
