Would some kind person be prepared to look up the 1871 census to see if
there is any mention of the following:
WILLIAM CALDWELL, shoemaker, of Bury, Lancashire, who had two daughters,
CATHERINE (at that time 14 years of age) and SARAH (approximately 12 years
of age). I think there was a brother, but I am unaware of his name or
age). I am not certain, but William may have been of Irish extraction.
Catherine (1857-1915) married Thomas Dykins (1841-1894) at St Mary's Parish
Church, Bury, on 14 March 1878. After their marriage they lived at 7 Hill
Street, and later in North Street, Bury. Sarah (b.c.1859) is thought to
have married a William Holden, also of Bury. Thomas was probably buried in
St Paul's Churchyard, Bury, along with several infant children, and
Catherine may also be buried there.
Any information concerning these people would be greatly appreciated.
