Subject: ATHERTON & 2 prisoners of the '45

1) I saw a message re ATHERTON of Wigan. "My" Peter ATHERTON marr. Ann
DANIEL 1794, All Sts., Wigan. They had many children born at Orrell but
baptised at All Saints. Their son Peter 1808-1859 (my gt.gt. grandfather)
moved to Manchester. His brother John moved to Preston.

a) Thomas BOLD Regiment - Manchester. Prison(s) - Carlisle , Lancaster.
Transported to Antigua 8 May 1747. Notes - of Wigan. Age - 21. Labourer
b) Thomas BOLTON Regiment - Manchester Prison(s) - 30 Dec 1745 Carlisle,
Lancaster Castle. Notes - of Warrington. Taken at the capture of Carlisle.
