I am a newcomer to the mailing list, and hope to obtain information about
my great grandfather Thomas HANMER and his family, who lived at the
Sailors' Home, Canning Place, Liverpool during the 1860's. Thomas was
first the secretary then the manager of the home, and at least two of his
daughters were born there. I would particularly like to obtain information
relating to the marriages of his daughters, and of the parents or birth of
Thomas.
A further interest is in my maternal grandmother's family, called SAUER,
whose descendants may still be living in Liverpool, presently called SAYER.
Henry, Jenny and Ada are names known to me.

My name is BALDWIN, and my family have lived in the Liverpool and
Birkenhead area for some 200 years. I may be able to offer information to
anyone interested.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer, either direct or via the
mailing list.

Tony Baldwin.
