Hi

As many of u know I have been researching my ancestors in Formby Lancs
for some time now and discovered that nearly all of them on my Mums side
seem to originate there.

My partner Pauls Mum(future mother in law) has also been researching
their family. I met Paul in the Midlands and as far as we understood
all his family were from Wales and the Midlands. His Mum has been
researching the WELLS family from Kemspey and Worcester which we had
managed to locate on the 1851 census and we assumed they were in the
Midlands during the 1861-1871 period. We had been struggling however to
locate them on the 1881 census for the Midlands. Imagine my suprise
then as Whilst scanning the census entries for Formby in 1881 not even
looking for WELLS I found them!!!! I have just got over the shock:

Dwelling: Liverpool & Southport Rd

We are not sure what they are doing there. Did families have holidays
in those days?? Paul even has the surname MELBOURNE in the family. I am
now just hoping we don't find any AINDOW-WELLS marriages!!!

bye for now
