According to the 'British Railways Pre-Grouping
Atlas' Brock station was on the West Coast main
line run solely by the LNWR, The nearest point
where the L&YR could be found was Preston some 8
miles south of Brock. The only other railway in
the area was the Knott End Railway which ran from
Garstang, about 2 miles north of Brock, to, guess
where, Knott End. I think you can be sure that
John SWARBRICK was employed by the LNWR.
