I use A&H Associates (AHA)
Costs:

If the GRO Index ref is known 7.50 Pounds
If the GRO Index ref needs checking 8.00
If the exact date is known, but not the ref 8.50
For a five yr search inc certificate 10.50
For a ten yr search inc certificate 12.50

Overseas Orders must add 1 pd 50 for postage etc.

Obviously, if you access to sterling cheques and know the relevant registry
office, its cheaper as they only charge 6.50 plus the relevant number of
IRCs.
