My grandfather was killed in action on what I worked out would probably have been the last day of the Paschendale campaign according to a book I read many years ago.

Anyway his details are as follows:

Wilson, Spr Alan 15439. 5th Field Coy Australian Engineers. Killed in action 6 November 1917, age 25.

Buried in Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium
Plot 3, Row M, grave no 1.

If its not too much inconvenience I would also appreciate a photo (or two :-) ...) of the Paschendale area

Let me know if there is anything you need to cover out-of-pocket expenses for this.

As you will see from my address I am from Sydney and I hope to make the pilgrimage myself one day when time and finances permit. In the meantime your offer is too good to refuse.
