Well almost correct, Weaste was a district of Salford City known as Salford
5, nowadays with the Metropolitan Salford it is part of that and known as
Manchester 5 as Salford Metropolitan became part of the County of Greater
Manchester which is now defunct, GMC was formed from parts of Lancashire,
Cheshire and I believe Yorkshire, Cheshire was compensated for its losses by
gaining parts of South West Lancashire from the River Glaze westwards (Irlam
& Cadishead boundary with Rixton with Glazebrook) .
