My grandmother's aunt, Alice PORRITT, born c 1882 in / around Dukinfield, parents
David & Ann, married Shaw BARKER, born c 1880, father Reuben.

Shaw made lots of money, and set up a cotton mill in Mexico City. His descendants
are still there. Their daur Marion married another Holden, not apparently related to
mine - Ted Holden. He was also from the Lancs / Cheshire area.

Any connections? Shaw BARKER is not a common name.
