Hello Everyone

Does anyone know how I can find out about British Ambassadors?

Apparently, relations of my grandmother's (perhaps an uncle and aunt)
took her to Madrid in about 1923. The possible uncle (by marriage)
was a MADDEN and British Ambassador to Spain around that time.

The possible aunt was probably a BARTON, possibly a sister to Miles
Chippingdale / Chippendall BARTON, my great-great-grandfather, a
clergyman born in about 1821 in Everton, Lancashire.

He worked for some of the time in Banbury, some at Romsey Infra
(Hampshire) and probably for some time at Stanley (Yorkshire), where
his daughter, Amabel Eleanor Barton, was born on 12 January 1857.

I'll be most grateful for your help.

Thanks and best wishes,
Franki
