No, it's off again! Speaking as a 30-year plus service Civil Servant, I've
seen this type of thing many times before - it'll probably have gone on-line
today simply to suit the service provider, (or during a period of overtime at
the PRO) and no-one will have thought that we'd get wind of it and use it,
hence the crashes etc. I don't suppose we should really start complaining
until tomorrow, 'cos we aren't supposed to be using it yet, are we, and to
complain now gives the PRO the perfect excuse to wash their hands of our
complaints. Having said that, they either shouldn't have allowed access
today, or should have displayed a warning that the site would be virtually
unusable if access was attempted.
