Hi Kathy
Normally they will be the same page No & the next Person Id No unless
your family runs over to the next page.
Example
ForenameSurnamePage IDPerson IDAge
AnnieBENNETT1065227915956
HoraceBENNETT1065227916023
FlorenceBENNETT1065327916220
CliffordBENNETT1065327916317
HenryBENNETT7522241819657027
JaneBENNETT7522241819657131
WilliamBENNETT7522241819657329
MaryBENNETT7522241819657433
BerthaBENNETT7522241819657511
JohnBENNETT752224181965766
JamesBENNETT752224181965775m
Please note the page ID is the next number, but when your family runs
over to the next page, you may think that one off your family is missing
279161 appears to be missing but in fact its the way, the system
collates the info, so don't worry about that one.
Also if you find a gap in the person ID as above 18196572 is missing,
this can help you to the fact that one of your relatives is missing or
somebody else with a different surname may be living with your family.
I have found with my family name of BENNETT that sometimes if the family
continues on the next page that sometimes the name appears as BENNET
with a (T) missing, this as also happened on the same page, but normally
it may be down to different pages being transcribed by different
people, so keep your options open, search for all possibilities.
Yours truly,
Malcolm D Bennett

Subject: [LAN] 1901 Census Decoder Question
After seeing everyone talking about using the Census Decoder I installed
it
and am using it. If you are trying to find family members together
would the
Page Number be the same page number and the Person ID number within one
or
two numbers of each other?
Thanks!
