Subject: [LAN] Bury marriage 1825-1828 problem

Hi listers,
I am going "spare" trying to find a marriage for my 4th great grandparents
John LORD and Betty LORD.
There were born Tottington, and lived Tottington (west side) all their lives
apart from a brief trip to Saddleworth around 1830-1840.
My problem is that I have not been able to find any birth registrations for
their children born after 1837 -
Jonathon LORD b Saddleworth abt 1838-9
Samuel LORD b Tottington abt 1841-2
Margaret LORD b Tottington abt 1842-3 (sent for certificate on GRO indexes
1844, but it was not her)
John LORD b Tottington abt 1846-7

As far as I can work out their first child was James LORD born Tottington
1828-9. Children Sarah and Daniel born Saddleworth 1831, 1835, no baptisms
found.

John LORD (calico block printer) was born Tottington abt 1809
Betty born Tottington abt 1806

So my guess is that they "should" have married 1825-1828
A list of possible churches would be
Bury St Mary - checked IGI
Ainsworth - checked
Radcliffe St Mary - checked IGI
Bolton St Peter - checked IGI
Haslingden - checked
Prestwich St Mary - NOT checked

Are there any more I should try? Is there anyone able to check Prestwich for
me please?

To add to the confusion there is a John and Betty in Breightmet (details on
Ancestral file), and a John and Betty in Bury, also a printer - the same
age, baptising children at Holcombe, whom I have also not found the marriage
for.

Desperately looking for ideas including the obvious that I "must" have
missed!
Many thanks,
Sharon in Perth, Western Australia
