Hi Bernie,
Noticed you're researching the CHARNOCK's in the Euxton area. Also have
CHARNOCK's in my line in the same area in the same time frame (Euxton,
Leyland & Chorley).
I have a John CHARNOCK who married a Sarah WALMSLEY. They had at least the
following children: Ann (abt 1782), Richard (4 Sept 1784), John (abt 1792),
Robert (16 Sep 1796) & Henry (22 Apr 1798).
Richard CHARNOCK married Elizabeth TREASON in Leyland on 22 Sept 1806 and
they had 4 children - Sarah (abt 1808), John (abt 1810), Ellen (4 Dec 1811)
and Ann (1814). Elizabeth died (in child-birth?) and he remarried an
Elizabeth FAIRCLOUGH in November 1815 and had a further 11 children.
Ellen firstly married Ralph DARBYSHIRE and had 7 children including my
gg-grandfather John in 1839. Ralph died in 1845. From what I can tell (and
more investigation is needed), Ellen had 6 children after Ralph had died but
only married George Singleton CHARNOCK in 1868. Ellen is related to George
Singleton CHARNOCK but I haven't established the relationship for certain (I
think he may be her uncle - her father's younger brother).
I haven't come across a James or Hugh CHARNOCK yet though.
This is one of my more complicated lines - and lots more investigation is
needed!!

There is a JAMES CHARNOCK born 15 January 1792 in EUXTON near
> CHORLEY. His wife as far as we know was MARY HART. He is the ancestor of
