Hi everyone,

My 2nd great grandfather, William Arthur Walker, was a "Telegraphist
Postal" on the 1901 census. A decade later, in information on his
son's school records, his occupation was put down as "Telegraphist
(Govt.)" - he was working for the King, I am lead to believe <grin>

Does anyone know how I'd go about researching both positions he had
(Postal and Govt - Civil Servant?) or have any experience with
researching this occupational area?

I've been told that BT are my best bet for Postal and the Royal
Archives at Windsor Castle for Govt/Civil Servant.

The Royal Archives seem to only accept letters, does anyone know if I
can e-mail them my request instead?

MTIA,

Jesse Walker,
London, UK.
