Sure did. Went to the Virginia site you recommended. Massive; one could
spend days there. Found four ggg-uncles but not their father, Daniel, who
bought land from Lord Fairfax ca. 1749 on the South Branch of the Potomac.
Checked Bath, Augusta and Frederick counties...nothing. After 15 years
I should give up. Your help most appreciated. If you need any Los Angeles
County information, I'll try to help.
