Hi, Sarah,
You asked about HOOD relatives. It would be worth trying LancashireBMD
(www.lancashirebmd.org.uk ) - I looked for 'Jes HOOD' using a wide year
range and found -
Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1902
Surname, Forename(s); Surname, Forename(s); Church / Register Office;
Registers At, Reference
HOOD, Jessie; BERRY, Joseph William; Wardleworth, St Mary the Virgin;
Rochdale, CE12/3/353
As you may have a better idea of possible dates, you should be able to find
the marriages of some of the others and then possibly the children. The
dates should also enable you to search the on-line Census data, especially
the 1881 Census through FamilySearch
(http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp )
Hope this helps
Jim Lancaster (Bury, Lancs.)
