Manchester wages:
At a meeting of the Withington Special Committee of the Manchester City
Council yesterday, it was agreed to pay all able-bodied workmen in the
employ of the committee a minimum wage of 25s (£2.25) weekly, in accordance
with the resolution of the council, and to arrange to work the hours
previously agreed upon.
