I too am an ALDRED descendant. My branch came from Mannchester and environs. Wm. Aldred b. abt 1709 in Manchester and had a son amongst other children named Wm. b. May 16,1760 in Manchstr. Both were clothes dyers by trade. The son Wm., my 3 gr grandfather, emigrated to the USA in 1794. I have no info on 1709 Wm. parents or siblings, making it impossible, to date, to find any cousins or nephews. My family came from Salford, Manchester, England; were nonconformists and belonged to Cross Street Chapel in Salford.
There are many ALDRED,s I have passed in the past several years in my seach. Your Jeremiah is a name that for some reason I have searched in recent years but no thread appears. Do you have any info on him other then just a name.
I have more info on the family and if you have any questions I would be happy to share.
Regards, Warren Aldred
