What I have is James TAYLOR, the Elder, of Ogden, his will dated 15 Aug 1758
& probated 23 Apr 1759 in Cheshire Surrogate Court. Property in Upper Ogden,
Ogden, Crompton and Birtle.

Married: Elizabeth GARTSIDE of Saddleworth, Yorkshire in Saddleworth or
Rochdale (recorded with same dates and info in both churches)

Children:

James (the younger) chr 3 Nov 1699 St Chad's, Rochdale
John chr 12 Mar 1701, St Chad's, Rochdale
Hannah chr 24 Jan 1703 St Chad's, Rochdale
Elizabeth chr 4 Jul 1705 St Chad's, Rochdale
Edmund chr 24 Jan 1707 St Chad's, Rochdale

Have also marriages for these and their children, some additional
generations below.

Also some tentative info on Elizabeth GARTSIDE's family in Saddleworth.

Nothing on James TAYLOR's parentage.

My family line comes through the son Edmund, and his son James TAYLOR. Both
of these lived in Birtle cum Bamford.

Are we related?
