I remember the "Boardman" when I was at school in the 20's. Mother used to
say "You'll have the Boardman after you" if I said I didn't want to go to
school.

I know Grandma used to go to school, she was born 1875. but I thought she
said they had to pay threepence a week. I may be remembering wrong tho'
