Checked ancestry, which has transcripts 1916-2005. You can search by last
name only and optionally add the spouse's last name

I see the Evelyn WILKIN = GRACE marriage in 1941.

Added spouses last name RIXON and found this:

Spouse Surname: Rixon (Percy S)
Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1933
Registration district: Pancras
Registration county (inferred): Middlesex
Volume Number: 1b
Page Number: 143

Could her mother have m RIXON and Evelyn used the name? was adopted?

Searched RIXON, spouse WILKIN and the 1933 entry plus these in 1925 were the
first three hits.

Dear All

I am hoping all you seasoned Geneologists out there can give me some advice
regarding second marriages. I have a birth certificate, and the mother is
stated as"Evelyn Doris Grace late Rixon Previous Wilkin". Evelyn's maiden
name is Wilkin, she was born in 1923 in London, there was apparently a very
quick marriage in the middle to do with this Rixon guy and she then married
Norman Grace in 1941. Does anyone have any ideas how I can find out about
the Rixon guy? I have had no luck so far(and am not near the records
office).
