Hi Bernard
My ancestor George Wallace b. 1820 was a farmer of 120 acres at Lower
Meaford, Pilkington. I cannot find Pilkingtown on any map. Would appreciate
it if you could tell me name of the nearest town or city. I was stationed
at Burtonwood AFB near Warrington in the early 50s. I had no interest in
family history at that time and had no knowledge that I had ancestors who
had lived in Lancashire.
