Subject: [LAORLEAN-L] Continental Guard and etc.

I was in New Orleans this weekend and found a few bits of information I lacked
on my tree. One member was in the Continental Guard. I am not exactly sure
what this is or how to obtain information on it. Any advice appreciated.

I also went to an old tomb and found a few dates I was missing. I found a
death date of 1858. I tried the obituaries at the public library but no luck.
Other than a death certif. from the state is there any other place to check.
Maybe the Archdicoise? What info can I obtain from the Archdi? Has anyone
had luck with records from the Archdi?
