Deanie,

Try Hancock Co, MS. It was quite common for couples to go to MS when
there was a problem with getting married in LA.

Subject: [LAORLEAN-L] info

Can anyone tell me how to go about getting a death certificate for
someone who was born in N.O. but died in Korea? My uncle, Joseph Galle
, died in 1996, but he was a professor University of Ohio, in Korea.
My grandparents, Joseph Galle, and Eva Mae Perdue was married in 1931,
but I can not find a marriage certificate. It was thought they were
married in N.O. but since family was against Joseph marrying a non-
catholic, we think they may have married in another parish. How do I
go about finding this certificate? Baton Rouge doesn not have it in
the archives? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Deanie
