In 1860 Samuel Cook (age 26, b. in England) is listed in the census for New
Orleans with his wife Emily (age 22, b. in Saxony) and also their son
William (age 2, b. LA)
In 1870 Samuel is still in New Orleans listed as age 35 and his wife Emily
age 33, son William C. age 12 and son George W. age 9 (b. LA also)
Does anyone on the list have access to an index for the 1880 census and
could tell me where I might find Samuel and his family in 1880? He may still
be in New Orleans but of course it's possible that he moved to another
parish. I have access to the 1880 census but there are so many rolls and I
don't have access to an index.
Any help would be appreciated.
