Hi Listers,
I have found an old family bible belonging to my uncle, who was single,
which has the first and last pages glued down to the covers, and other small
articles have been glued in the bible with handwritten notes, elaborating on
the Scriptures. Also, I have noticed that there are no family pages in
another large family bibles. It seems to me that someone went to some
extent to remove family pages which might have contained information or am I
overreacting? I know that this Uncle left New Orleans in the late 30's and
wanted to be a preacher. When I finally found him in the SSDI, his
occupation was listed as "preacher". Does anyone know where I could search
to find out if he was ever ordained as a Baptist Preacher? Thanks. Rose
