I have added a few more bits of information that may help. Thanks for your
patience.

Hi Listers,

I am still researching the Leibrook's That's how the name is spelled in
the Louisiana records. It may have been spelled differently in their
country of origin. Different records list Germany, Bavaria, Alsace and
France as their birthplace. All siblings died in New Orleans, LA.

Siblings were:
Catherine Leibrook, b. abt. 1822 - d. Jan. 1882. Catherine's obit says she
was a resident for the last 50 of her 60 years. That would put her in New
Orleans about 1832.
Francis Leibrook, b. abt 1824 - d. 1903
Mary Leibrook, b. abt. 1825 - d. 1870(my g-g-grandmoter)

Catherine Leibrook m. John Smith Aitkens from New York - October 1836
(probably New Orleans, LA)
Mary Leibrook m. Issac Ramsey January 19, 1841 in New Orleans, LA and
William Salisbury from VA by 1843-44? (my g-g- grandfather.
Francis Leibrook m. Mary Elizabeth Cowand from Bay St. Louis, MS, Nov 12,
1846, and Mary Caufiled in 1896, in New Orleans.

It appears they were already in Louisiana by 1832, but I cannot locate them
in the 1840 Census, nor their parents.

Parents: Henry Leibrook - b ? Germany and Mary Eve or Marian Ginder or
Grinder - b? Germany?

If any one connects to these -- please let me know. Could anyone help me as
to how to locate them on a passenger ship? Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Rose
