Colleen,
Have you contacted Chinchuba? Some schools really keep in touch with their
alumni and solicit contributions from them. It's possible they may know how
to contact Florence.
There are no Massarina's in the current New Orleans phone book, but there
are a couple of Masserini's.
I don't know how hard you want to work at this, but here are a couple of
other ideas...time consuming, but may pay off...
Is there a probate for William and/or Florence Masserina? If so, that may
give you a clue as to where their daughter was then...whether she married,
etc. and it may tell you where they were living when they died.
If you can follow the trail of that property, you may get lucky and still
find a member of the family.
Also, if you can find when that property was sold, there may be two listings
in the newspaper at that time for real estate transfers...so if they sold
the property, they may at the same time have bought another piece of
property which you can then trace.
As I say, not easy research, but maybe a way to track someone down.
