to find.
General info on the Justice of the Peace system is

Scroll down and youll see the physical descriptions
of the JP districts and how they changed over the
years, until the system was abandoned (about 1870).
The NOPL notes the following: Researchers should be
aware, however, that there was no requirement that
residents obtain their licenses from the justice of
the peace for the district in which they lived.
