Last week I was visiting in Houma and went to their beautiful new Library......puts NOPL to shame. They have many, many computers, I met a very nice lady who works at the library (she has her masters) and was so pleasant and helpful. I mentioned I go to the NOPL and she said how rude the staff is there. Now this comes from a fellow librarian and they knew who she was. They not only treat the "locals" that way but out of town visitors as well. Makes for a bad impression of New Orleans, the administration and the system.
