I'm planning a trip to New Orleans the end of February, and would like
to spend a day in Orleans Parish researching my Lamare ancestors, who
were there from 1840 on. Does anyone have any tips on how and where to
best spend my time?

Any tips would be appreciated. I've found that genealogists who have
already been there, or who live there, usually have wonderful ideas that
can save visitors a lot of time.
