Hi, Bev

Groom's Name: William Murray or William O'Malley (born Ireland)
Bride's Name: Mary (Grace) Forrey, Widow of James Forrey (born New Orleans)

I have been told that William O'Malley changed his name to William Murray, so I am not sure how he may be listed. Also, I have seen Forrey spelled Forey, and Forry.

I have checked the rootsweb website for Orleans Parish, but cannot find them. Is there any other place I could check? I have already checked with the Archdiocese of New Orleans, with no luck. James Forrey died 12/25/1883, so I know they were married sometime after he died. Their first child was born in 1887. I located the marriage license of Mary Grace and James Forrey in the Orleans Parish JP records (5/5/1870).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Grace

There are several other parishes which have records before 1900. Amoung
those are St. John the Baptist , St. James, Ascension, Lafourche,
Terrebonne, to name a few. But your best bet would probably be a parish
close to New Orleans. Also forgot to mention the Baton Rouge area parishes.
With the Mississippi River used as a means of transportation, there are
other possibilities. What are the names you are searching for? I can check
the Lafourche and Terrebonne books for you.
