I checked the phone book and there is a First English Lutheran Church at 3864 17th St., Metairie, LA 70002, PH: (504) 779-9073. Maybe that's their modern day name. Give 'em a call, and good luck.

This must be the best list I belong too. So I am hoping that once again
someone can tell me where to look. I located an obit from March 1896 and it states
a church named First English Evangical Lutheran Congregation. Does anyone
know where I can find information on this???? I am hoping someone does!!
