That John Wicks was from Penn. listed in the 1870 Census on Ancestry.com
Having a son named Willey age 2yrs. born La. There is no Street address in
the 1870 census. Chippewa St. is the 1880 Census. In 1900 census Mary is
listed as a widow age 60 livng with Sons George age 27, John age 21 and
Olivia age 23. Olivia is a school teacher.
My William John Wicks Mother was Mary Elizabeth Miller. She also had a
daughter named Mary who in the 1900 Census ,as a young child, was living with
her Aunts and uncles ( Henry Miller a sail maker). Also a cousin Elizabeth
Evans. Then in 1910 William was living with this family. But not Mary. In
1920 Census William was married to a Lena Chanove and had a daughter Mary
Lena Wicks born 8-20-1919.
