This is for anyone who might know the answer. In working on the HEPP family
of New Orleans, I found that William Thomas Hepp (s/o {maybe} Guillarmo
Wicoff/Wikoff and Susannah Hepp (no marriage found) or as one a marriage
records has listed, s/o (maybe) Juan Hepp (father of Susannah) and Anna
Suzannah (Catalina) Fry, both of Germany) married Adele Gleises (d/o Jean
Gleises and Euphrasie Sarde on 2/15/1830 in the SLC (SLC M7, 190 - as listed
in Vol 19 of Arch. Sac. Rec) in New Orleans. I also found a records in
Notary Louis T. Caire records that shows same date.

Here is my question, would both of them had to have been baptised and
members of SLC before this marriage took place?

I have not found any church records on either of them, should I be looking
for those records. It would really be nice to know who Wm. T.'s parents
actually were, although this family was never really too careful about who
was listed in the records. Several of the sisters/nieces?? of W. T. Hepp
did not seem to feel that marriage was too important, just listing the name
of some of the wealthy and prominent fathers, and pgp.

All of this went on between the 1780 thru the mid 1800's (and most of the
time the parents, Juan Hepp & Catharina Fry were alive, you would think
someone might have written a book about it and make this research easier.
LOL

Please let me know if they should have been Catholics and baptised so I will
know to look further. What is strange is that Susannah Hepp had at least 5
children by Guillermo/William Wikoff and all but Wm. T. were baptised which
makes me wonder if maybe there was a coverup on his marriage records, also
W. T. would have been born very very late in life to have been a child of
Juan Hepp and Catharina Fry and I really doubt it.
