The highlight of graduation activities in '53 was four or five girls renting
a cabin at Magnolia Park for a week (with a proper chaperone, of course).
Still have pictures !!

Valentine Lake was supposedly one half mile from the pavilion side to the
beach side. Swimming across it was considered either foolhardy or
courageous.
