Essex J. Dupuy
Services for Essex J. Dupuy will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of
Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens
under direction of John Kramer & Son.

Dupuy, 84, of Alexandria died Sunday, April 18, 1999, in St. Frances Cabrini
Hospital.

He was retired as district manager of United Insurance Co. of America. He
was a member of American Legion and Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Townley Dupuy of Alexandria; four
daughters, Helen Richardson of Alexandria, Lynda Dartez of Lafayette, Kathy
Hardin of Slidell and Margaret White of Ferriday; two sons, Louis Marien and
Johnny H. Marien, both of Alexandria; three brothers, Harry Dupuy Jr. of
Alexandria, John Dupre of Lafayette and Benny Dupuy of Lincoln, Mont.; two
sisters, Vivian Taylor of Houston, Texas, and Mary Hinson of Atlanta, Ga.;
14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
