Scott L. Nida
Services for Scott L. Nida will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Hixson
Bros., Pineville, with the Revs. John Johns and Emitte Belgard officating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Deville.

Nida, 50, of Deville died Sunday, May 2, 1999, in a local hospital. He was a
Sergeant First Class supervisor at the Combat Support Maintenance Shop for
the Louisiana National Guard. He was a hunting education instructor for the
Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Commission. He was also a U.S. Army veteran
of the Vietnam War and a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Janice Reed
Nida of Deville; two sons, Travis Nida and Eric Nida, both of Deville; one
daughter, Michaela Nida of Pineville; two brothers, Dean Nida of West
Jefferson, Ohio, Robert Nida of Alexandria; four sisters, Helen George of
West Jefferson, Ohio, Christal Nida of Columbus, Ohio, Patricia Neinas of
Ann Arbor, Mich., and Arnita Lenegar of Havelock, N.C.; and two
grandchildren.
