Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I would go about finding
information on an ancestor in Rapides? All I know is birth place is listed
as Alexandria, Rapides Parish and I'm guessing he would have been born about
1880. His adopted name was Thomas Kanapkey. Family stories say they think
his birth name was Ballinger. Any help would be appreciated.
