Dear Floreda: I have horrible memories of trying to read a microfilm
version of the 1920 censuses from several parishes, including Rapides. I
had headache no. 10 within an hour!

I have hopes that one of these days all the old census records will be on
a computer disc. I bought the Broderbund company's version of the census
records on cd's, and was so disappointed to find that it was not 100% even
for some states. Apparently they got some negative feedback about the lack
of complete disclosure on their ads and did put out a more complete
explanation of what was included. Maybe one of these days Broderbund will
do those census records they missed.

For the time being, I think we're stuck with those poor quality microfilms.
Best of wishes from Baton Rouge!
