I married a Beaubouef. Other than just getting a copy of that book, I've not
done anything on the Beaubouef line. My husband's line of descent from
Hypolite & Denise Belgard is > Michael > Jervis > William > Hardy Sr. >
Hardy Jr. (my husband).
It really was funny, my husband (and his family) always said there were
*two* sets of Beaubouefs and we weren't related to the other set. When I got
into genealogy and found the Beaubouef book I soon realized that the "two
set" theory came from the two complete families that Hypolite had from two
wives. My husband's family now knows that we are indeed related to every
Beaubouef in and around Louisiana and probably on the planet!!!
