I am seeking information on my grandfather Johnnie Monroe Sellars dob
3/26/1899 dod 6/5/1928 who was married to Lola Jones and had one child, my
father John Talmadge Sellers (I have no idea how the spelling changed from
Sellars to Sellers). His family was from the Alexandria/Pineville Louisiana
area and rumor has it they moved to Texas.

He is buried in Methodist (Old) Cemetery - Pineville, La. The plot he is
buried in has three other Sellars.

Sellars, Jessie L., infant son of J.W. & G.A. Sellars - 24 Sep 1891 / 1 Nov
1891
Sellars, Hessie Annie - 27 Dec 1894 / 8 Oct 1900
Sellars, J.W. - 30 Jul 1861 / 15 Sep 1924
Sellars, Johnnie M. - 26 Mar 1899 / 5 Jun 1928

I assume J.W & G.A Sellars were Johnnie's mother/Father and Jessie and
Hessie were siblings.

I would appreciate any information on Johnnie Sellars and his family.




Johnnie M. Sellars and Lola Jones Married 4/19/1922 in Alexandria La.
Which is located in Rapides Parish. Wesley Sellars (brother) was a witness.
We think there were at least four brothers 1) Henry (oldest), 2) Oray, 3)
Jewel, and 4) Wesley (youngest).
We think there were at least two sister 1) Mary youngest who may be in the
Alexandria area and 2) Hessie b 12/27/1894 d 10/8/1900.
Believe the family moved to Texas in the 1930s.
