The Town Talk and all of the Major newspapers published in Alexandria circa
1818-2000 are available on microfilm at the Rapides Parish Public Library and
the Bolton Library on the campus of L.S.U. at Alexandria

Most issues are lacking for the earliest years. Very good coverage 1880-2000.
There are partial indexes done by several persons at different times for
different time periods and subject matters.
There was not a Daily Edition until about the 1920's or 1930's. There were
at later periods, Morning and Afternoon Editions. And just as when the
Weekly Edition was printed with the Daily Edition, some things appear in one,
that do not in the other. So check both if what seek is not found in the
other.
