I have found a Willis West in the Repulic of Texa census. Where did he serve during the Texas Revolutioon? Can you give me a birth date on him or do you have any pictures? The West I am looking for is John Clarence West, born in 1816. There is an old family saying that when he went to Texas he took his mother's maiden name and that was Willis.
