I like your web site. I've been thinking of having my own INTERNET SERVER.
Otherwise I've followed your time line, to some extent.
I read all those names and said to myself - I've got a lot of those names.
But when I looked:
Well I knew I had not Matthews - mine are all Mathews. But people change
them from to time.

descendants for 1893 thinking he may be there by another name but didn't

Do you have anything on Franklin Hollis (he went by Hollis) Matthews
born December 22, 1893 in Arcady, Rapides Parish, LA, died September 29,
1974 in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, LA, married November 4, 1917, Lecompte,
Rapides Parish, LA to Emily Webb Patterson born March 22, 1896 in Lecompte,
Rapides Parish, LA, died December 28, 1975 at home between Forest Hill and
Lecompte, Rapides Parish, LA.
I remember Marion telling me that he was also kin to the Wise, but I
haven't found a connection yet. I remember my dad talking about Charlie
Wise. Marion went to school with Mike Wise in Forest Hill and I remember
him.
Marion had Suttons in his family tree. The name was even carried on
as a first name in the Miley family.
We keep this up and we might find some kinship instead of just common
lines (:-}.
