What a great set of posts! Enjoyed the stories about your family!

We've corresponded before--my ancestor and yours were each ministers in LA
(Robert family from SC) about the same time, but your last post rang some
bells. Bayou Beouf, LeCompte, Forest Hill, etc are all places my ancestors
were... So I checked and sure enough, we're shirt-tail cousins!

The James Moore who married your Ruth Graham was James Rutledge Moore, the
son of James Brown Moore and Margaret Jane Rutledge. They lived at Spring
Creek (?) and are buried in the Brewer-Moore Cemetery <A HREF="http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/la/rapides/cemeteries/brewer.txt">;

(1 dirt road down from the Butter Cemetery if I remember correctly) in Forest
Hill -- right next to Margaret's mother who is my my
great-great-great-grandmother, Esther Susannah Robert (wife of Joseph
Rutledge)! I was just there in March to "visit" them! (Got all that?)

Anyway, I've appreciated all your efforts & enjoyed your stories - keep up
the good work!
