I am also interested in this line. Was this John A. Strother possibly a
Justice of Peace or Clerk of Court (or other) in Rapids Parish at about that
time (1868/1870) ?
I have a John Strother on a document as having married Adalar Hagan and
Josephine Rodrigues in 1868 in Rapids Parish, LA.
